We see Canyata as a destination or retreat, not your typical golf club. A place designed for Icon members and their invited guests only, we want everyone to unwind within the gates of this spectacular farmland retreat, both golfers and non-golfers alike. At Canyata, we’re going to create a environment that’s more than just a club – it’s a community. Nestled on breathtaking farmland, this is a place where golfers can perfect their swing and non-golfers can unwind, but it’s also a place where members come together to share memorable moments, enjoy world-class amenities, and experience a lifestyle that’s as exclusive as it is inviting.

Just outside the quintessential American farm town of Marshall, Ill., Canyata (pronounced can-YAY-tuh) is a 7,200-yard stunner molded from the rugged and rolling farmland of east central Illinois by golf course architect Michael Benkusky.  Named the No. 2 Best New Private Course in the United States in 2005 by Golf Digest magazine (January 2006 issue), Canyata is definitely a very special place. A true hidden gem, this exclusive club has long held its place in Golf Digest’s US Top 100, peaking at #37. With zero current members and limited annual play, Canyata’s course conditions are immaculate, offering pristine bentgrass fairways and greens, scenic waterscapes and creeks, and a dazzling array of bunkers spread across 400+ acres. Canyata was designed 20 years ago primarily for the recreational use of the owner’s family and friends, with a very limited number (less than 1,000 rounds per year) of public opportunities to experience the club at green fees of $850 per player. Starting this year, we anticipate the club being open May 1 through October 31 annually and promise world-class hospitality and a golf course you’ll want to play over and over. With each passing offseason, we will continue to add to the mystique of Canyata by building out the property’s amenities over the 400+ acres.
