El Duelo (Men's Member-Member)

Two-man teams compete in this three-day tournament filled with competition, gambling, food, beverage and special touches that make this one of the premier events on the Icon Golf annual calendar. This tournament will rotate each year amongst a small portfolio of very special courses that every golfer will want to challenge. 2023 was hosted by Erin Hills, a course like none other — routed over the kettle moraine areas left by glaciers, surrounded by wetlands and a river, with ground that consists of glacial till of varied composition of sand and small rock. The course was designed to accommodate the 2017 U.S. Open, in terms of both the challenge to the players and the logistics of the spectators. This mix of traditional and modern elements as well as a championship test will leave many golfers with the feeling that they’ve never played anywhere like Erin Hills. Icon Golf was the first group to take over all of Erin Hills for a private golf event and the experience was something truly special. Our inaugural El Duelo was won by members Bruce Gingrich and Mike Rutkowski.
